Husab Marathon set for September
Long-distance runners are in for a challenge as yet another race has been pencilled in to their athletics calender, with the introduction of the Husab Marathon.
Scheduled for 5 September the races will start at the turn off to the access road leading to the Husab mine, along a scenic route, the Husab Marathon promises to be a fun event for the entire family.
The planned 5 kilometre and 10 kilometre races complement the laborious marathon and will allow runners at various levels of fitness to participate in the event.
“We invite all Swakop Uranium employees, their families and communities in Namibia to participate in this day, as it is part of the High Performance multi-culture environment to acknowledge that diversity of culture is a strength,” said Percy McCallum, Vice President Human Resources, Business Support.
