US Ambassador visits IUM

IUM Founder Dr. David Richard Namwandi and US Ambassador Thomas Daughton, discuss ways to explore opportunities for continued educational cooperation between the United States and Namibia at the IUM headquarters in Windhoek.

“We share the same ambition to help develop a skilled workforce that can meet Namibia’s economic and social development needs,” said Ambassador Daughton. Discussions began with recollection of the successful partnership presented by the Millennium Challenge Corporation compact, particularly in the areas of travel, tourism and hospitality. IUM administrators shared current challenges and opportunities presented by increasing student interest in higher education, particularly in fields such as technology and finance.
