Night Under The Stars (NUTS) is a new initiative that invites local musicians to showcase their talent in front of a small and intimate crowd.

This is a regular show, scheduled for every first Friday of the month at the Goethe Centrre.
At the beginning of July, for the first time, the fusion that is Damas and Don Role took the stage at the Goethe Centre and serenaded the audience with their blend of jazz and African music.
Nunu Namises openend up the stage for Damas and Don Role with her sultry voice, hyping up the crowd for duo. When Damas and Don Role got on stage they performed songs that took the audience way back to the time of the Old Location, before the residents were moved to Katutura. They also performed their own songs which made me especially feel so nostalgic. But one of my favourite songs on that first Night under the Stars was a love song that Damas wrote. Although I heard it for the first time that night it made me believe in love again, and I realised that I should not give up on love. They also inspired the audience by performing a song against gender violence, showing that artists can make a huge difference in their societies by singing about social ills and inspiring people to change for the better. The night was magical, and Damas and Don Role left me and everybody else wanting more. Damas and Don Role were supported by the poetic powerhouse that is Blend. The night was a nice cosy family event which is meant to make dreams come true. Attending the Night under the Stars is a fulfilling experience. Go to the next one on 07 August. You will not waste your time.
