Fellows and Fulbrighters ushered off

Twelve Namibians, selected to represent Namibia as Mandela Washington Fellows and Fulbrighters in the United States, successfully completed a pre-departure orientation at the American Cultural Center, Windhoek.

The scholars and fellows will spend time at top U.S. universities and colleges that will take them through intensive programmes in: Business and Entrepreneurship, Civic Leadership and Public Management, Engineering, and Media Studies. The orientation offered insight into programme opportunities and brought together departing Fellows and Scholars with returned Namibians who shared their experiences about aspirations and expectations. Participants received tips on public speaking, media interviews and social media platforms to enhance their engagement.
