O&L launches Jacket Golf tourney
Last week Namibia Breweries Limited launched the second Windhoek Lager Africa Jacket Golf Championship to the local media.
Ian Stevenson of NBL is responsible for this great tournament in Namibia which has grown from 5 to 10 countries in one year. At the media gathering Ian said, “We launched the regional Windhoek Lager Africa Jacket Championship in November 2013 and apart from Namibia, countries that participated in this inaugural tournament were Botswana, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe. We are extremely proud to say that another 5 countries will join us this year, namely Uganda, Lesotho, Kenya, the Seychelles and Tanzania.” Stevenson said that Namibian renowned professional golfer, Trevor Dodds, would once again attend and assist as a celebrity guest and has also committed himself as an official Ambassador to this great African golf championship. We look forward to welcoming all players and officials in Windhoek from 17 June 2015 with the official flag raising on 18 June. Play off is on 19 and 20 June and the winners will be announced at a gala dinner on 20 June.”
