U/20 basketball trials held in Swakop

The U/20 regional basketball trials, organised by the Namibian Basketball Federation (NBF), Directorate of Sport and the Namibia Schools Sport Union (NSSU), started on Saturday, last week. In Swakopmund, 40 players and 10 coaches form both the Erongo and Kunene regions took part in the first selection round. Three girls and five boys were chosen and invited for the national trials in Windhoek at the end of April. The selected players are Aily Alfeus, Lizanne Cloete, Frieda Kolowani, Sem David, Landuleni Iipinge, Sam Nalusha, Titus Paulus and Tuhafeni Shinyama. They will join players from the other regions. The best players will be chosen for the national team, which will represent Namibia at the SCSA Zone VI U20 Youth Games in December in Zambia.
