A youthful Vodacom Blue Bulls side will on Friday 10 April lock horns with the Welwitschias in what promises to be a thrilling match as the Namibian rugby side prepares to take on the world’s finest rugby talent later in the year at the Rugby World Cup.

Vodacom Blue Bulls Coach, Nollis Marais has included a host of University of Pretoria (Tuks) players in their Vodacom Cup encounter against the Welwitschias later in the evening.
Players from the varsity side like Dan Kriel, Andre Warner, Wiaan Libenberg, Andrew Beerwinkel, Reniel Hugo, Clyde Davids and Riaan Britz played in a closely contested match against Pukke in the Varsity Cup semifinal and will be hoping to impress at the Hage Geingob Stadium.
Said Marais, “these players are all classy and I have no doubt that they will bring new momentum to our squad. Their availability also brings a new competitive edge to our squad as well as adding depth so its a win-win for us.”
Added Marais, “The new guys must still go to Windhoek and deliver the goods.”
The Welwitschias currently occupy bottom second spot of the North Section Stream while the Bulls are in third out of the 4 matches played so far.
