Digital movie pleasure at the Grove

Ster Kinekor officially opened its six new digital cinemas at the Grove Mall in Windhoek on Wednesday.

Doug Place, Marketing Executive of Ster-Kinekor Theatres, said: “At Ster-Kinekor Theatres, we are focused on ensuring that our audiences experience ‘Great Moments at their Greatest’ with every cinema visit.
“While the five cinemas at Ster-Kinekor Maerua Mall have undergone a major refurbishment, the new complex at The Grove Mall features six new cinemas that boast the very latest in digital projection technology. As such, local movie-lovers can look forward to watching the latest releases and blockbuster titles in a truly state-of-the-art cinema environment,” stated Place.
The installation of digital technology in all the cinemas has resulted in a profound change to the entire viewing experience with crystal clear images and quality surround sound speaker systems. Included in the mix of six cinemas at The Grove Mall of Namibia complex will be two 3D-ready screens to show the latest film releases produced in this larger-than-life format.
“We are committed to providing our audiences in Namibia with the highest levels of service and the best in-cinema entertainment. The conversion to digital technology, which was completed at all our other sites during the second half of 2014 and has been installed in these six new cinemas too, has profoundly changed the face of the industry.
