Standard Bank Namibia recently sponsored the Polytechnic of Namibia’s Harold Pupkewitz Business School Financial Sector Breakfast to the amount of N$25,725.

The school hosted two guest speakers, Patrick Flaherty and Charles Benner both from the Credit Suisse Bank in London. The session aimed to unpack the concept of customer service.
Manager: Economic and Market Research at Standard Bank Namibia, Mally Likukela said,“customer service has become vital and significant for banks locally and globally. As banks deliver an increasing number of products and services, they face the challenge of delivering it coherently, efficiently and consistently.” He said many banks are now formalising their customer service and public relations programmes to address this challenge. Flaherty discussed the topic, “Customer service excellence: a vehicle for competitive advantage”, while Bennet discussed, “Recession, Rugby and Re-appraising our values: lessons learned from the financial crisis”.
“We are very proud to be associated with the Harold Pupkewitz School of Business and would like to commend them on their many achievements so far,” said Likukela. “It is this shared social upliftment goal through education, which encouraged Standard Bank to sponsor this event. At Standard Bank we believe in quality education as it is the key to sustainable development,” he added Likukela.
