Langer Heinrich up and running

Following the announcement by Paladin Energy of the loss of production for 10 to 12 days at the Langer Heinrich uranium mine, it was recently announced on the Namibian Stock Exchange website, that the mine is back in business as the thickener is back on line.

According to information released Paladin advised that the pre-leach thickener that was reported damaged has been repaired and normal production was re-established by 03 March.
Said Paladin, “Lost production due to this event was as indicated at around 100,000 pounds. Revised guidance for Financial Year 2015 will be provided at the end of March once overall production for the quarter is known,” Paladin added.
Earlier on, according to Paladin Energy, the centre well on the second pre-leach thickener at Langer Heinrich failed making this unit non-operational and necessitating its isolation from the process.
