Flagship golf tourney returns

Namibia’s foremost golf tournament, the Omeya Club Championships makes a return this year on 18 April when the country’s finest golf members line up to battle it out at the Omeya Golf Estate 30 kilometres south of Windhoek along the B1 route.

Dan Zwiebel, spokesperson of the tournament said, “The Omeya Golf Championships is the most prestigious golf tournament to be held in Namibia this year. As has been the case in the past, it is only open to members of the club.” According to Zwiebel, the tournament will determine the golf champion for the year. Added Zwiebel, “By hosting the tournament at Omeya we feel that we are involving the community. It is one of our Corporate Social Investment initiatives we are undertaking.”
