Transnet makes courtesy visit
Following last year’s agreement between TransNamib and South African powerhouse TransNet Freight Rail, the South African outfit recently made a courtesy visit to TransNamib. From left to right: Deon Struwig, Chief Financial Officer at Transnet; Richard Vallihu, CEO at Transnet; Hippy Tjivikua, Acting CEO at TransNamib and Micheal Gotore, Finance Executive at TransNamib. Transnet is providing new locomotives to TransNamib and repairing existing ones, which is part of the parastatal’s turn-around strategy. Vallihu stated he is confident in seeing TransNamib’s strategy coming together. A committed partnership exists between the two organisations.
