AMTA in Zambezi

The Agro-marketing Trade Agency, AMTA, put together a think tank from its own technical staff. The think tank meets every three months to touch base, to monitor and to evaluate AMTA’s progress as measured by their strategic plan. In February the team met in Zambezi under the guidance of the AMTA MD, Lungameni Lucas. Forming part of this meeting was a visit to the Kalimbeza Rice Project and a visit to the Katima Mulilo silos which are the biggest of all government silos in the country. These silos were constructed in 2008/09 and were managed by the Namibia Agronomic Board until AMTA took them over in 2013. The storage capacity of these silos is 7400MT. Current content is 5055MT.
