Mister Sister for a healthy Khomas

Rural settlements and villages in the Khomas Region are serviced by a fleet of mobile clinics operated as part of O&L’s Mister Sister health campaign.

The Ohlthaver & List Group this week expressed their satisfaction with the Mister Sister initiative, stating that this programme has enhanced access to primary health care for many communities that are located far from conventional clinics and hospitals. The Mister Sister campaign has been running for three years. Its backbone is a fleet of mobile clinics deployed in the Khomas Region.

O&L Group Corporate Relations Manager, Patricia Hoeksema, thanked the Heineken Africa Foundation, for funding the programme over a three-year period, together with the Ministry of Health and Social Services who provides the medicines; Namibia Medical Care (NMC) who contributes through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for service delivery in the informal settlements around Windhoek; and PharmAccess Namibia who runs the programme, for the excellent cooperation since the launch of the first Mr Sister Mobile Clinics in 2011.  “In line with our purpose ‘Creating a future, enhancing life’ we are proud to support this great initiative as it aims to add value and enhance the well-being of people’s lives especially in remote areas where access to proper healthcare facilities is limited,” said Hoeksema.
