Erongo visualises future

Erongo-strategic-WorkshopCouncillors, management and staff of the Erongo Regional Council dipped their paint brushes to start on the picture they visualise for the region over the next five years, last week. Creativity mixed with sensible acknowledgement of the challenges that face the region, formed the basis of a thorough SWOT analysis to guide the team and to identify the strategic issues for the next five years. Thereafter objectives were set and scrutinised. These objectives were eventually trimmed  down to those most aligned to make Erongo the region of choice for investors and to enhance social and economic development in order to improve the standard of living of the region’s residents and unlock its full potential. The strategic plan will be launched officially at a later stage. The workshop was facilitated by Frikkie Mouton, deputy director consulting services (standing at the back) and Glodine Sisamu-Limbo, efficiency analyst at the Office of the Prime Minister. Seated from left to right is Dickson Buchani, director: Human Resources Management, Finance & Administration, Tsudisa D. !Gonteb, acting chief regional officer, Felix Kangumba, chief control officer at the Karibib Constituency Office and Deodat van Wyk, regional planner.
