Shiny wheels keep Hardap rolling

Wednesday was Christmas all over again for the Hardap Regional Council. The six constituency offices received a fleet of brand new vehicles for official work. The 11 vehicles which consist of five 4x4s, five single cab bakkies and one sedan, were funded by the Ministry of Local Government and Housing at a cost of over N$3 million. The vehicles are intended to alleviate the transportation problems experienced by the constituency and settlement offices in the Region. Present at the hand over are from the left, Hon. Theo Diergaardt, Deputy Minister of Lands and Resettlement who also doubles as Councilor of Rehoboth Urban West, Jan Jarson, Councilor of Mariental Rural, Ivonne Boois, Chief Regional Officer, Hardap Region, Jeremias van Neel, Councilor of Gibeon, Hansina Christians, Special Advisor to the Hardap Governor, Councilor Eduard Wambo of Rehoboth Urban East and Councilor Riaan McNab of Rehoboth Rural.
