Nedbank Namibia managed to build a bank worth over N$11 billion in total assets as at the end of October and on 5 December opened a new branch at Westlane Shopping Centre.
Mr Lionel Matthews, Managing Director, Nedbank said that people said to them it was the worst possible time to open new branches just before the recent elections, and just as people are planning to go on holiday, but their answer remained the same, they are here to serve their clients without any delays. “At Nedbank, we are constantly thinking of ways in which we can Make Greater Banking Convenience Happen for our clients,” added Matthews. Councillor Muesee Kazapua, Mayor, City of Windhoek, said that there is only so much that The City can do, based on the income generated through their various revenue streams.

“We need a cooperative relationship amongst all the stakeholders to continue making Windhoek the jewel of the crown of Africa,” said Kazapua. He thanked Nedbank on behalf of The City and its residents for taking the brave decision to grow their footprints so extensively over the past 12 months. Westlane Branch is the third branch in Windhoek that Nedbank Namibia has opened in the last 12 months, the other two are the Prosperita and The Grove Mall branches. Mrs Liezel Bosch,Manager Westlane Branch, Nedbank, thanked their clients saying they remain at their service and everyone who has been working hard to create a home for Nedbank at the Westlane Shopping Centre.
