Double Feathers for airliner

The Air Namibia delegation that flew to Johannesburg to receive the national airliner’s double Feather awards from OR Tambo International Airport, and from Cape Town International.

For the first time in its history, the national airliner, Air Namibia  received Feather awards from two South African airports. Last week, Air Namibia received a Feather award from OR Tambo International in Johannesburg, and another from Cape Town International.

The awards were presented at a function of the Airports Company of South Africa (ACSA). The awards are based on passengers’ feedback and provides ACSA with an opportunity to recognize top performing airlines for outstanding customer service rendered during the year. The awards are researched using three independent South African organizations and verified by two international organisations, the Airports Council International (ACI) and the Transport Research Laboratory (TRL) in the UK.  Acting Managing Director & COO Rene Gsponer said, “Air Namibia is above all a customer focused airline and superior service delivery is what we are striving to maintain. These awards serve as an encouragement to us to do more to meet clients’ high expectations. This is another achievement as it is our customers themselves who recognized that we are the best airline in the region.
