Old Mutual Namibia earlier this week conducted an evacuation exercise with staff and tenants of Mutual Towers. The aim of the drill was to prepare staff and tenants to react appropriately in the event of an actual emergency. The exercise drill was led by an Emergency Response Team which is responsible for the coordination of the exercise on 11 floors of the building, and the evacuation was part of safety and security drills that the company has committed to each year. The evacuation process is assisted by staff members that take up the responsibility of being evacuation officers, fire marshals and first aid officers. The exercise is conducted on a regular basis and is an integral part of ensuring safety of staff and tenants at Mutual Towers. Old Mutual thanked all its employees and tenants for their swift and collaborative participation.
