Agra staff members hosted a Christmas party for children of the Maria Pre-primary School from Havana, Katutura a fort-night ago at Haven Zoo in Kleine Kuppe.
The Children enjoyed the opportunity to see the animals in the park and were entertained with a light meal before each child received a gift hamper donated by an Agra staff member. The Christmas party was one of a number of charity organisations and initiatives Agra staff has supported this year through the Agra PMK Social Project, living Agra’s values of being rooted in people and serving.

Other initiatives included raising funds for Children with Cancer, participating in the Pink Day of the Cancer Association of Namibia’s and Channel 7’s Casual Day for the Namibia Old Age Help Fund (NOAH) as well as a donation of vouchers to Haven Zoo to buy food for the animals.
The Agra/PMK social project, initiated by Peter Kazmaier, Chief Executive Officer of Agra, uses monthly contributions and personal involvement of Agra staff members to benefit identified charities. The project started in 2009 and has since contributed largely to help children in Katutura, supporting animal welfare initiatives, train life skills to adults and make donations to the Cancer Association and NOAH.
