In the continual effort to improve and develop the careers of its workers, EBH Namibia (EBHN) has facilitated the training of nine members of its staff in the field of internal auditing.
The group of nine employees who are now qualified internal auditors are: Benster Ntesa, Rodrieck Snyders, Lukas Engelbrecht, Absalom Fillippus, Gavin Brasler, Moses Haimbodi, Benjamin Irua, Erwin Keiseb and Claus Zeilinger.

The team having recently passed the two requisite modules, are already putting their new-found skills into practice. Their primary function is twofold: to assist with the implementation of a QMS-based system on ISO 9001:2008; and to conduct internal audits in order to ensure continual improvement.
QHSSE Manager Tim Kolisi, said,“This is a milestone achievement for the company. Creating in-house auditing capabilities will save us external auditing costs in the long-run; and more importantly, opens up new opportunities for growth and development for our people.”
The course, facilitated by the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS), was held during July and August 2014. Since then, the nine newly qualified auditors have already assisted with the implementation of a quality management system (QMS) based on ISO 9001:2008 standards, in preparation for a certification audit by ABS. This was successfully achieved in November.
The team will also be conducting internal audits on an ongoing basis to ensure continual improvement in all aspects of EBHN’s operations.
Said Kolisi,“We congratulate our new internal auditors on this achievement, and wish them all the best with their future responsibilities. We believe their new skills will be a significant asset to the company.”
