Ster Kinekor Maerua re-opens

Following the appointment of a new franchisee in Namibia, Ster-Kinekor Theatres Chief Executive Officer, Fiaz Mahomed said that the five cinemas at Maerua Mall reopened their doors on Thursday night with a special pre-release screening of the movie John Wick starring Keanu Reeves.
Said Mahomed, “At Ster-Kinekor Theatres, it is important that we continually meet our audiences’ expectations in ensuring they experience great moments at their ‘Greatest’ with each cinema visit. With this philosophy in mind, we temporarily closed our complex at Maerua Mall as a result of various issues we were experiencing at this franchised site.”

He said that a new site with six cinemas is currently under construction at the city’s newest shopping mall, The Grove Mall, and is scheduled to open at the beginning of next month.
The Ster-Kinekor cinemas will boast the very latest in digital projector technology, offering clear images and quality surround sound speaker systems.
“We are committed to providing our audiences in Namibia with the highest levels of service and the best in-cinema entertainment,” said Mahomed.
There were also other new release movies that included, The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay-part 1, Dumb and Dumber, Teenage Ninja Turtle (3D), The Prince, Interstellar and a mouthful movie titled Alexander and the terrible, horrible no good very bad day.
